There’s something magical about baking with your children—the laughter, the mess, the joy of creating something together. When I started Makeke Délices, I knew I wanted my daughters to be part of the journey. Baking isn’t just about flour, sugar, and eggs; it’s about bonding, learning, and sharing moments that turn into lifelong memories.

Flour-Filled Fun

From the time they were little, my daughters have loved helping in the kitchen. Whether it was stirring batter, sneaking bites of frosting, or picking out the perfect sprinkles, they found joy in every step. Even when measuring turned into a mini flour explosion, I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.

Lessons Beyond the Kitchen

Baking together has taught them patience (waiting for a cake to cool isn’t easy!), creativity (turning mistakes into happy accidents), and the importance of tradition. Some of our best recipes have come from family favorites that we’ve adapted together, adding our own little twists.

A Tradition Worth Keeping

Now, as they grow older, they’ve started making cakes on their own—sometimes surprising me with flavors I wouldn’t have thought of! Seeing them find joy in baking, just like I do, reminds me why I started this business in the first place. Baking is love, and love is meant to be shared.

So the next time you bake, invite someone to join you. Whether it’s your kids, a friend, or a loved one, I promise the cake will taste even sweeter.
